The villagers of Votua in Ba are requesting assistance for food as most of their farms have been destroyed by flooding they experienced on Sunday until yesterday.
Village Headman Alosio Waisale says waters entered their homes suddenly on Sunday when they were having lunch.
He says they are also requesting water assistance as their water sources were disrupted due to flooding.
Waisale says the water tanks available in the village is not enough to cater for everyone.
He also says currently, villagers are clearing debris and silt from their homes as floodwaters start to recede.
