Investigations are underway into two aggravated robbery cases in Samabula and Suva, where the getaway vehicle involved was fitted with a Government-issued number plate.
Police report that the vehicle was stolen from Delainavesi yesterday morning and subsequently used in two robberies: one at a hotel on Waimanu Road, where liquor and money were stolen, and another at a private contracting company in Samabula. Company officials have yet to determine the full extent of the stolen items.
Joint teams are currently working to locate the vehicle and apprehend those involved in the robberies.
In addition, police are pursuing a separate line of investigation to determine how the suspects obtained the Government number plate.
