Tuatua Gas Crematorium opens in Labasa

The Tuatua Gas Crematorium opened in Labasa today, with the first body being cremated by loved ones.

Secretary of the Tuatua Crematorium, Jitendra Kumar says the project was funded by the government.

He informed fijivillage News that the facility will bring relief to thousands of people in Vanua Levu, as families will now have a better opportunity to perform the final rites of their loved ones.


Hindi Insert: 2hrs for body to cremate 4th March 


Kumar adds that $500,000 has been invested in the project, while another $250,000 will be required for a borehole and footpath development project.
