Thousands of people turned up with their families and friends to welcome 2026 at the FM96 Big Night Out with Vodafone at Albert Park.

The crowd enjoyed the music and danced their hearts out as they celebrated the New Year.
Families sat on their mats with their grog, while their children enjoyed the bouncy castle and others had the chance to win prizes.

People also enjoyed different cuisines from the food stalls.

There was also a fireworks display as the clock hit 12am.

People travelled from different parts of the country to be part of the Big Night Out.

The Khan family travelled all the way from Lautoka to enjoy the party, which they had been hearing about.

The family says it is special for them to celebrate the New Year in a different way.

Meanwhile, Communications Fiji Limited’s General Manager, Charles Taylor says the FM96 Big Night Out has become an annual event.

Taylor says the Vou Dance Group kept the crowd entertained with their amazing moves to the best hits.

He also remembered those team members who passed away this year.

Taylor’s message for the coming year is for everyone to move forward with a positive attitude.

Meanwhile, the number one song for 2025 on FM96 is 'Man I Need' by Olivia Dean.

The fijivillage News Team wishes everyone a blessed, happy and prosperous New Year.
