Ten mothers welcome their bundle of joy this Christmas in Suva

Ten mothers in Suva are celebrating the birth of their Christmas babies.

The first baby, Laisenia Turagadamudamu was born at the CWM Anderson Maternity Unit at 1am this morning, weighing 3.55 kilograms.

Speaking to fijivillage News, his mother, Vaciseva Cawanibuka says she is happy that her son was born on Christmas Day, the same day Jesus was born.

Cawanibuka says this is her third child, with a gap of 13 years since her previous birth.

The 35-year-old says she is happy that they will be discharged today, making it a double celebration at their home in Samabula.
