Tailevu Zone: Matanimeke of QVS claim gold in boys 3,000m

Rosivela Matanimeke has claimed another gold medal for Queen Victoria School at the Coca Cola Tailevu Zone after winning the boys' 3,000 metres race this morning.

He ran a time of 10 minutes and 14.58 seconds.

Taraiasi Somia of Wainibuka Secondary School won silver and teammate Mesake Radio claimed bronze.

Meanwhile, Sereana Bakeibau of Wainibuka Secondary School claimed gold in the girls’ 3,000 metres race.

Day 2 of the Tailevu Zone is underway at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
