The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua went down fighting against the Queensland Reds 21-6 at Churchill Park in Lautoka this afternoon in round 6 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.

This is the first time the Reds has beaten the Drua at home after three unsuccessful tries in previous seasons.

The Drua got on the scoring board first through a penalty from Isaiah Armstrong Ravula to lead 3-0.

The Drua held on to their lead in the first 20 minutes but the Reds manage to break through the Drua's defence with Kalani Thomas running between the sticks to score the first try of the match.

The Drua kept on the pressure and managed to get a penalty, and Armstrong-Ravula did not disappoint, slotting though another three points.

With a few seconds from half-time, the Drua pulled off some spectacular play, but they could not capitalise at the end, giving the Reds a 7-6 lead at the break.

The Reds came back from the break with guns blazing, scoring another two tries to Harry McLaughlin-Phillips and
Richie Asiata.

The Reds kept the pressure on the Drua and played most of the time in Drua's territory.

The Drua had some ball possession but they could not cross the tryline as they also
committed a lot of ball handling errors.

Next week, the Drua will travel to Auckland to face the Blues at 6.05pm Saturday.

In last night's results, the Hurricanes demolished the Highlanders 50-7,  and the Brumbies beat the Chiefs 33-24.

In other matches tonight, Moana Pasifika will meet the Crusaders at 6.05pm and the Blues will face the Waratahs at 8.35pm.
