The State has filed to withdraw the charges against former Acting Fiji Corrections Service Commissioner, Sevuloni Naucukidi as the complainant wishes to reconcile.
Naucukidi is charged with one count of criminal intimidation after allegedly threatening a member of his support staff in July last year.
He appeared before Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne this morning.
State counsel, Sadaf Shameem told court that the complainant wishes to reconcile with the accused.
Defence counsel, Barbara Malimali says they have no problem with the State withdrawing as it will save the State money.
However, Malimali says she will ensure that the State will not recharge her client as she will go hammer and tongs at them.
The case will be recalled tomorrow for Magistrate Somaratne to make his decision.
