Saifiti scores but Trbojevic steals the show as the Blues thrash the Maroons 50-6

Fiji Bati forward Daniel Saifiti scored a try but it was Manly Sea Eagles fullback Tom Trbojevic who stole the show with his three tries as the New South Wales Blues thrashed the Queensland Maroons 50 points to in Game 1 of the State of Origin.

The Blues scored eight tries, three from Trbojevic, two from Brian To'o and Latrell Mitchell and one from Saifiti.

Another Fiji Bati, Tariq Sims was also in impressive form giving a long pass to To’o who went in for his second try inside the 26th minute.



The Maroons were outclassed by the Blues throughout the 80-minutes of rugby.

The Blues will now need to win another Origin match to claim the title.

Game 2 of the State of Origin Series will be held on the 27th of this month.
