SR Amica spends Christmas in camp preparing for Labasa 7s

The SR Amica team from Taveuni spent their Christmas in camp as they prepare for the Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s next month.

Team manager Malakai Talebula says the team was only recently formed, and with support from Semi Radradra who is sponsoring them, they have been able to travel for their first Fiji Bitter 7s series in Levuka, they also competed in the Wairiki 7s and the Loloma Heights 7s.

Talebula says the idea to form the team in Somosomo Village came from a desire to get youths involved in sports and to help build their discipline.

He adds that the youngest player in the squad is just 17 years old.

The Labasa 7s will be held on the 8th and 9th of January at Subrail Park in Labasa.
