Australia's South Melbourne FC claimed a thrilling 2-1 victory over Tahiti United after scoring a decisive free-kick in the 98th minute on Match Day 2 of the OFC Pro League.
Although South Melbourne dominated early possession, it was Tahiti United who struck first with a spectacular long-range free-kick from Manuarii Shan, giving them a 1–nil lead going into the break.
The Australians responded soon after the break, with Yuki Uchida levelling the scores from a corner.
Just when the match seemed headed for a draw after long stoppage time, substitute Andrew Mesourouni scored a brilliant free-kick in the 98th minute to win the game for South Melbourne.
In other matches, PNG Hekari FC will face Solomon King FC at 4pm.
