The ruling on the salaries owed to the Director of the Office of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde will be delivered on December 22nd.A hearing will not be held in the case.

High Court Judge Justice Savenaca Banuve has asked the counsels to file their submissions this Friday and if there is to be any responses, that can be filed next Friday.

Counsel representing the Judicial Services Commission and the President's Office, Geraldine Naigulevu had sought for an application to vacate the trial date while the Solicitor General Ropate Green, who is in carriage of the case, attends to a personal matter.

Naigulevu informed the court that Green's brother passed away last night. Counsel for Pryde, Ashnil Narayan asked if they could file submissions as they did not want to prolong the issue as his clients contract expires March next year.

Meanwhile, Pryde, who is in New Zealand, had earlier said that he is ready to return and resume his duties on the condition that the Judicial Services Commission provides assurances he will not face a sudden suspension, salary cut, arbitrary arrest, or a stop departure notice upon his return to Fiji.
