With flash flood and heavy rain warnings still in force for the whole of Fiji, several roads in the Central, Western and Northern divisions are closed.
The roads that are closed in the Northern Division due to flooding include Boca Loop Flats at Boca Loop Road (Labasa), Konasami Crossing at Bulileka Road (Labasa), Nasaqa Crossing at Delaikoro Road (Labasa), Nakama Crossing at Naduna Road (Labasa), Waidamudamu Bridge at Nakorotari Road (Labasa), Nasarava Rd (Labasa), Urata Crossing at Urata Rd (Labasa), Vuniyalayala Crossing at Vuniyalayala Circular 2 Road (Labasa), Buavou Crossing at Buavou Road (Natua), Kawakawavesi Crossing at Kawakawavesi Road (Natua), Vunivere Crossing, Lalakoro Road (Natua), Daria Crossing at Nabouwalu Road (Natua), Naqumu Crossing at Naqumu Rd (Natua), Narailagi Crossing at Narailagi Village Road (Natua), Zailav Crossing at Zailav Road (Natua), Drekeniwai Crossing at Drekeniwai Road (Savusavu), Culvert Crossing at Daku Frontage, Lesiaceva Road (Savusavu), Levuka Road (Savusavu), Tabia Village Road (Savusavu) and Nakasa Crossing on Wailevu West Coast Road.
The Fiji Roads Authority says Tabucola Road in Labasa and Wailevu West Coast Road in Savusavu are restricted to 4x4 vehicles only.
In the Western Division, Cemetery Crossing at Cemetery Road (Ba), Varadoli Back Road Crossing (Ba), Veisaru 1st Timber Bridge at Veisaru Road (Ba), Lomawai Road (Nadi), Vakabuli 2nd Crossing at Vakabuli Indian School Road (Nadi) and Emuri Crossing at Emuri Village Road, Sigatoka are flooded and currently closed.
Lubulubu 1st Crossing at Lubulubu Road in Ba and Lubulubu 1st Crossing at Lubulubu Road in Nadi are restricted to 4x4 vehicles only.
In the central division, Waiwatu Crossing at Navulokani Road in Rewa is flooded and closed.
The FRA is urging all drivers and road users to exercise caution while travelling.
Meanwhile, the Nadi Weather Office says an active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain continues to affect the country and this will bring occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times, and thunderstorms with strong winds.
The National Disaster Risk Management Office is warning people to stay away and refrain from attempting to cross or swim in flooded areas.
They are also saying for people to contact the Fiji Police Force or the National Fire Authority should they need assistance to move to higher ground.
