Rishi sells roti parcels for 35 years to support family

57-year-old Ajay Rishi has been selling roti parcels, bean and lakri mithai for the past 35 years to provide for his family.

Rishi lives in Narere and visits Communications Fiji Limited, Capital Insurance and other government offices everyday to sell food and snacks.

He says whatever little he earns has enabled him to build a house, buy a car and afford other essentials important for their daily living.

The 57-year-old’s story of struggle is a living testimony to young children and youth that there is no reason to steal or get involved in illegal activities when there are honest ways to earn a living.

He adds that hard work, patience and faith have been the key to his success over the years.

Rishi hopes his journey will inspire others to start small, work hard and remain committed to achieving their goals.
