Restoration work is ongoing at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital’s West Wing following a burst ageing pipe earlier this morning.
The Ministry of Health shared this update with fijivillage News, confirming that essential services are continuing as normal.
The Ministry emphasized that the hospital services team is actively carrying out repairs, with mitigation measures already in place, and these include a backup water supply to critical areas and the provision of bottled water for patients.
They say they are also working with the Public Works Department and the Water Authority of Fiji to secure the necessary materials for a permanent fix.
