A prolific writer influenced by literary greats such as William Shakespeare and Rabindranath Tagore, Bhindi authored four books, including his most popular publication, Journey of Reasons: Collected Works 1980–2018, a blend of academic writing and poetry.
His other books include Ocean of Shadows: Collected Poems 1980–2013, Horizons from the Edge: Depths of Emotional Flight and Descent, and Aspirations of a Limitless Mind Seeking Endless Possibilities.
Colleagues and former students remember him as a mentor who made complex ideas accessible and encouraged a lifelong love of learning.
His legacy lives on in the many students he guided and inspired.
Condolences are extended to his family and loved ones.
The family has requested that final respects may be paid at his funeral service, which will be held on Tuesday from 12pm to 1pm at the Suva Crematorium and Memorial Gardens in Vatuwaqa.
