Lautoka’s Rays United FC and Nadi’s Army Delta FC have opened their Dayal’s Sawmillers National Club Championship 2025 campaign with a tightly contested 1–1 draw at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba.

Both teams showed strong discipline and intensity, with Rays United finding the net first before Army Delta regrouped and equalised in the second half to seal the draw.

In the Southern Zone qualifiers at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa, Nasinu’s Friends United FC delivered a dominant performance to crush Lami Rangers 7–1 in their opening match.

The Nasinu champions controlled proceedings from the outset, displaying sharp finishing, disciplined structure, and relentless attacking football.

Their emphatic win sends a clear warning to their rivals as they aim for national glory in this year’s NCC tournament.

The tournament will continue this weekend.
