Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav says comedy and horror will never fade, as he prepares for the release of his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla.
Yadav says fear-based storytelling has always existed, noting that from a young age, children grow up hearing warnings that shape their imagination.
He says that working on Bhooth Bangla brought him a sense of childlike joy, as he drew from his own experiences growing up in a village.
He adds that it feels amazing to be working with people like Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar, who gave their best 20 years ago and are still striving to give their best today.
Yadav also acknowledged how social media has introduced his work to a younger generation, with many discovering his roles through reels and memes.
He says that a 10-year-old today knows him as ‘Chhota Pandit’, while a 20-year-old knows him through memes.
He adds that this renewed popularity feels like a rebirth as he celebrates over 25 years in the industry.
Bhooth Bangla stars Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and the late Asrani.
The film will be released on April 10th.
