Prefectship is a position of trust grounded in character, discipline, and service.

The Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro delivered the message during the 2026 Prefects Investiture Ceremony at Queen Victoria School as he formally inducted the school’s student leaders, reminding them that their appointments were based on merit and their demonstrated ability to lead with integrity and humility.

He stressed that leadership comes with responsibility and called on the prefects to guide their peers by example.

While highlighting the privilege of attending Queen Victoria School, the Minister noted that students earn their place through hard work and family support, not through the presentation of a tabua.

He urged them to honour that opportunity by upholding the school’s values and protecting its long-standing reputation.

Radrodro also acknowledged the role of teachers in identifying capable leaders and thanked parents and guardians for their continued support of the school.

The ceremony concluded with the formal badging of the prefects, marking the beginning of their leadership duties for the 2026 academic year.
