After the formalities were done for the welcoming of the return of the first battalion Fiji Infantry regiment from the UNAMI in Iraq, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka invited former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama to help him cut the cake at Albert Park.

Rabuka told Bainimarama to come and join him at the front to help cut the cake as he was one of the leaders that sent the soldiers to Iraq.

After the cake cutting ceremony Bainimarama was then seated on Rabuka's right at the top.

Speaking to fijivillage News after inviting Bainimarama, Rabuka told us that appearing at the Fiji Truth and Reconciliation Commission and not ‘walking the talk’ would be meaningless.
