QVS and Dawasamu lead medal tallies at Tailevu Zone

Queen Victoria School and Dawasawamu Secondary School lead the medal tallies for the boys and girls divisions at the Coca Cola Tailevu Zone.

QVS leads the boys division with 11 gold, 8 silver and 11 bronze. Ratu Kadavulevu School is in second place with 6 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze, while Tailevu North College is third with 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.

Dawasawamu Secondary School leads the girls division with 7 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze. Tailevu North College is second with 6 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze, and Wainibuka Secondary School is in third place with 3 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze.

Meanwhile, Jone Raibevu of QVS won the boys' Blue Ribbon event with a manual time of 11.02 seconds, while Salaivalu Jokaveti Marama of Dawasawamu Secondary School collected gold in the Senior Girls 100 metres with a manual time of 13.86 seconds.

Day 2 of the Tailevu Zone continues today at the HFC Bank Stadium.
