The questioning of a woman continues at the CID Headquarters in relation to her partner who is the third person of interest in relation to the murder of Lami Police Constable Peniasi Racagi.
Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu
confirms the woman is being questioned to verify information given by the third suspect regarding his whereabouts on the night of the incident.
Meanwhile two men from Qauia in Lami, 42-year-old Keni Salawai and 20-year-old Jope Seniloli who have been charged with the alleged murder of 24-year-old Police Constable Peniasi Racagi in Lami, remain in custody.
Their case will be called again on Friday in the Suva High Court.
The two with another individual are alleged to have between the 21st and 22nd of February 2026, aided and abetted to cause injuries to the late Police Constable Racagi, causing his death.
Racagi's body was found in the sea near the Lami Oceania Wesley Church on Sunday February 22nd.
Constable Racagi was allegedly assaulted by these men as he was on foot patrol.
Information had earlier come in that the constable had asked the men to disperse as they were drinking alcohol in a public place on that Saturday night.
