The Southern Division Police Taskforce is pursuing the suspects involved in an attempted robbery in Wailoku.

The taskforce is assisting the Samabula Police in identifying and arresting the three involved.

This is after a CCTV video clearly shows an attempted robbery on a man by a group of young boys.

The man had parked his van to check on something at a Wailoku home, and as he is returning to his van, one of the young boys approaches him, locks the man's arms behind him and pushes him on to the road.

At this time, another two young boys jumped in.

The man eventually fights them off and drives away.

Police say during the festive season operation currently underway, officers have been directed to ensure quick response to such incidents and round up those involved.

Similarly, a no-drop policing is being enforced for all minor offences, with a focus on liquor related incidents.
