The Internal Affairs Unit of the Fiji Police Force is investigating an alleged case of police brutality in Votualevu, Nadi.

A video circulating on social media shows a police officer dragging a man into an empty shop in Votualevu.

They are surrounded by about four other people, while two men wearing reflective vests are seen dragging another man into the room.

The other man can be heard swearing at the police officer.

The video also shows the officer kicking the man’s legs from under him.

It further shows that when the officer realised he was being filmed, he ran towards the person recording the video and demanded that they stop.

The video then abruptly ends.
