Players will now have to choose between football and futsal for the upcoming season, as the Fiji Football Association has introduced a new registration policy requiring commitment to just one code.

FFA Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf stresses that the rule applies to club-level competitions and prevents players from registering in both codes simultaneously.

Yusuf highlights that this season, players will need to commit to one code, emphasising that this commitment will allow them to focus their training, preparation, and development ultimately raising the standard of both football and futsal in Fiji.

He clarifies that member associations wishing to align their competitions with Fiji FA regulations are encouraged to do so, adding that they must formally notify the Fiji FA Registration Department to ensure the necessary changes are implemented in the COMET registration system.
