The Assistant Commissioner of Corrections Senior Superintendent Salote Panapasa has been sent on leave from today.
The Fiji Corrections Service says this is in reference to an investigation by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.
They also acknowledge that Assistant Commissioner of Corrections Panapasa is innocent until proven guilty.
The Fiji Corrections Service also understands the need to allow investigations by FICAC and the operations of the FCS to carry on normally without disruption.
