Farmers can now apply for the Agri Innovative Competition, which was officially launched this afternoon.

Speaking at the event, Minister for Finance Esrom Immanuel says the competition promotes the Fiji Pacific Agro Innovative Competition 2025 and encourages MSMEs, agripreneurs, youth innovators, and women-led enterprises to participate.

Immanuel says it also provides technical expertise and support to growing industries through the Ministry of Commerce and Business Development.

He adds that participants are encouraged to utilise the Agribusiness Incubation Center’s services, including mentorship, training, and access to markets and finance, to help MSMEs scale, export, and sustain their businesses.

Minister for Agriculture, Tomasi Tuinabuna says the ministry is committed to shaping the future of Fiji’s agriculture industry by strengthening policy direction, advancing innovation and resilience, improving market facilitation to connect farm production with domestic and export markets, and expanding opportunities for processors.

Tuinabuna adds that the timely launch of the Fiji-Innovate Competition 2025 is a major step toward strengthening the nation’s agricultural innovation ecosystem.

Applications will close on 14th January 2026.
