The full deck replacement of Nasau Bridge 1 along Nasau Road, Nadi, has been completed and is now fully open and accessible to the public.
The project involved the removal of the old and deteriorated bridge deck, which has been replaced with a new, stronger structure designed to improve safety, durability and load-bearing capacity.
The Fiji Roads Authority says with the upgrade now in place, road users can expect a safer and more reliable crossing, particularly for daily travellers and transport operators who rely on the route.
They add that the improved bridge is also expected to enhance connectivity for nearby communities, while supporting the efficient movement of goods and services in the area.
