Rokobua Naiyaga and Hem Dayal have been appointed by the Permanent Secretary for Education Navin Raj as consultants to review the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2013.
The Ministry of Education says Naiyaga is a highly experienced education leader with over 50 years in the sector, bringing strong expertise in national education governance, public sector reform, school leadership and curriculum development to support the Commission’s strategic leadership and direction.
They say Dr Dayal is a senior lecturer in Education at the University of the South Pacific and brings extensive experience across Fiji and the Pacific education sector, including primary and secondary teaching, assessment and curriculum development at school and higher education levels.
While congratulating the two consultants on their appointment, Raj emphasised that the National Curriculum Framework was developed in 2013, and with the growing demands in the education sector, it is essential to review the document at the national level to address existing gaps.
