Sisilia Vulikeibau stands with her father and her two children who survived the fire in Toorak

A mother of two, Sisilia Vulakeibau has shared her heartbreaking experience after an alleged electrical fault destroyed their home in Toorak yesterday.

Sisilia says she was cooking in the kitchen when the electrical fault occurred, sparking a fire that quickly spread through their home.

She says the family was unable to save anything from the house, and the clothes they were wearing at the time are the only belongings they have left.

She adds despite losing everything, she is grateful that both her children are safe.

Her eldest child is two years old, while her youngest is just one month old.

The 24-year-old says the family is currently being housed at the Marist Brothers Primary School hall.

Sisilia adds members of the public have been coming forward to deliver clothes, food and bedding to help them start over.

She adds that in her entire life, this is the first time she has experienced something like this.

Members of the public who wish to assist Sisilia and her family during this difficult time can do so by contacting 2724727 for further information on how support can be provided.
