Miss Fiji to tackle drug and crime topic at Miss Pacific Islands Pageant

With contestant numbers revealed and research topics officially selected, another significant moment has been marked for Miss Fiji Ailava Samuels and her fellow Queens as they gear up for the highly anticipated Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2026.

Miss Fiji has been assigned 'Drug and Crime' as her research topic.

Miss Pacific Islands Pageant Director, Ana Tuiketei says the order of appearance and research topics were determined yesterday for each contestant, and excitement continues to build as the journey progresses for Fiji and the Pacific.

She says the early selection of research topics provides contestants with valuable preparation time ahead of their Research Presentations next Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2026 contestants' line-up and pre-pageant interview topics are as follows:

1. Miss Tonga – Environment and Climate Change

2. Miss American Samoa – Education

3. Miss Papua New Guinea – Youth Empowerment

4. Miss Samoa – Bullying (Physical and Cyber)

5. Miss Cook Islands – Culture

6. Miss Kiribati – Sports Development

7. Miss Fiji – Drug and Crime

The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2026 will be held on the 13th and 14th of this month at the Tanoa International Hotel, Nadi.
