Miller confident the Drua will have a good season

Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Jeff Miller is confident the team will perform strongly this season, based on the preparation he has observed so far at the Drua base in Nadi.

Miller, who has previously been involved with the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby, believes Fiji can match any other franchise given the depth of skill and talent available in the country.

He says the team’s seven home matches will be exciting for both the players and management, and he is eager to see the world’s greatest rugby fans turn out in force to support the Drua this season.

The former World Cup–winning Wallaby added that this year is an exciting one for Fijian rugby, noting that Drua players understand how important the season is, with the Nations Championship being held this year.

He says players will be keen to be in top form as they compete for selection in the FIJI Water Flying Fijians squad.

The Fijian Drua will open their season against Moana Pasifika on February 14th in Lautoka.
