A brawl that broke out along Waimanu Road this morning ended up in the Police storming a nearby house.

Speaking to people on the ground, they say that one of the drunk men assaulted a police officer that had come to break up the brawl.

This led to police reinforcements being called in and the alleged person that assaulted the officer running for cover into a nearby house.

Two four wheel drive vehicles full of officers showed up and entered the building to retrieve the person alleged to have assaulted the police officer.

The house is believed to belong to Jone Vakarisi.

We have sent questions to the Police, and are awaiting their response.
