Pre-season training for the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific 2026 has been different in terms of intensity, learning and enthusiasm.
Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Captain, Frank Lomani highlighted this to fijivillage Sports at their base camp in Nadi, saying the boys were really hurt from what happened last season.
Lomani says that is motivating them to work even harder and that has been how pre-season training has been.
He says the boys are putting their bodies on the line, working really hard in the Nadi heat and he believes they are headed in the right direction.

Lomani says they were able to overcome the heat for seven weeks pre-Christmas and that didn't dampen the spirit and the hunger that the boys have of wanting to be better this season.
He adds they have a really good squad and are looking forward to the new season.
The Drua will play their first ever pre-season game against a New Zealand side when they face the Chiefs in Mount Maunganui on January 30.
They then head back to take on the Skipper Select Provincial XV on February 6 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
Their first game of the season is a battle of the Pacific against Moana Pasifika on Valentine's Day at The Fortress in Lautoka.
There is currently no evidence linking the recent discovery of five bodies in less than a month to drugs or organised criminal networks.
