Search and rescue efforts are expected to resume later today for a man in his 40s who went missing in the Mahurangi River, near Warkworth, New Zealand, yesterday.
Police report that the man, from the wider Mahurangi community, was swept away in the river near Falls Road shortly after 7:41am
A police-led operation, involving multiple emergency agencies, ran throughout the day, but the man was not located.
Night shift frontline staff conducted additional checks overnight, but he remains missing.
Search and Rescue teams are expected to redeploy to the area once water levels subside and conditions are deemed safe.
The Police Eagle helicopter is scheduled to conduct a flyover of the river this morning.
