Several key roads and crossings in Nadi are now clear and accessible to the public, according to the Fiji Police Force Western Command Centre.
The Command Centre confirmed to fijivillage News that Sabeto Crossing was reopened at 4.40am today and is now accessible to all traffic.
Police also advised that Saru Back Road is clear, with no heavy rain currently being experienced in Lautoka, and remains open to the public.
In Nadi Town, both the town area and the market area have been reported clear.
Other areas confirmed to be accessible include Nawaka Tramline, Ratu Naevo Junction, Nadi Back Road and the Malolo Bypass.
However, while conditions have improved in Nadi, flooding persists in several other parts of the Western and Northern Divisions.
Police confirmed that Savusavu Crossing in Nalawa, Rakiraki is clear.
Vitivanua remains flooded, while the first crossing at Qalela in Tavua is still underwater.
Narara in Rakiraki also remains flooded.
In the Northern Division, Colo Crossing in Navai, Labasa is still underwater.
Meanwhile, a Flood Warning remains in force for all low-lying, flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of the Nakauvadra River to Rakiraki Town, Naseyani at Yaqara River, Tavua River, Ba River, and the Nadi and Nawaka Rivers.
The Nadi Weather Office says a Flood Alert remains in force for whole of Vanua Levu.
They say an active trough of low pressure, with associated active rain bands and strong northwesterly winds, continues to affect the country.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and are urging drivers to exercise caution, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas where water levels remain high.
