Loloma Heights thrash Draululu 28-0 in strong start to Nawaka 7s

Loloma Heights has made a powerful start in the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s after thrashing Draululu Rugby 28-0 in their Pool 7 clash at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

Loloma Heights captain Equate Nagalu says he is grateful for the opportunity to participate in the tournament and is expecting strong support from fans during the two-day competition.

Meanwhile, Nawaka Black got off to a strong start in their match against Roots Exile, taking an early 7-0 lead in the first half.

Roots Exile later responded with a try to level the scores at 7-all.

Nawaka Black maintained the pressure and crossed for another quick try to regain the lead 12-7 before halftime.

Just after the start of the second half, Nawaka Black extended their lead with another try to make it 19-7.

Roots Exile were then reduced to six players after a player received a yellow card for a dangerous tackle.

Nawaka Black capitalised on the advantage and scored another try late in the game to secure a 24-7 victory.

Several teams have also recorded convincing wins in the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s men’s pool matches played on Ground 2 at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

SR Amica defeated Saunaka Rugby 12-7 in their Pool 3 clash, while Buduka Reef Cowboys recorded the biggest win of the round after beating Nauru Blues 45-0 in Pool 4.

Pegasus Brothers claimed a narrow 10-5 win over McDonald Saunaka in Pool 6.

Nawaka Black also edged Nauru Gold 7-5 in Pool 9, while Namara Brothers defeated Baravi Legions 19-5 in Pool 10.

Flame Tree Waimanu secured a 12-7 win over Valeni Brothers in Pool 12.

In another match, Sigatoka Young Boys defeated Votualevu Youth 14-0 in Pool 13.

Meanwhile, the Pool 1 clash between Bukuya Cowboys and Dominion Brothers ended without a result.

Flame Tree Waimanu beat Kesenavunivalu with an impressive 17-10 win.

The Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s continues at King Charles Park, Nadi, tomorrow.
