Former Suva lawyer Shazran Abdul Lateef will take his plea on March 11th after allegedly being found with methamphetamine last year.
Lateef is charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
He appeared before Magistrate Sufia Hamza this morning.
When asked by Magistrate Hamza if he is representing himself, Lateef says he is opting for private legal counsel, which is why the matter was adjourned to 11th March.
Lateef was allegedly found with 0.584 grams of methamphetamine in Suva on December 4th last year.
He is serving a 3-year and 8-month prison sentence after being convicted of unlawful possession of 9.5 grams of methamphetamine and 3.5 grams of marijuana on May 9, 2019.
