An individual was apprehended earlier today by Police officers on duty at the New Wing of the Government Buildings.
The Office of the Prime Minister says the individual had entered through the main entrance and was stopped by officers stationed at the ground floor after exhibiting suspicious behaviour.
He was then escorted from the premises and referred to the relevant authorities.
They say services within the Office of the Prime
Minister continued as normal and no one was affected by the incident.
The Office of the Prime Minister yet again reiterates the importance of verifying information before drawing conclusions or making assumptions, especially in matters of public interest.
