Floodwaters are entering Ba Town.

Photos shared by the Ba Town Council show parts of the town surrounded by floodwaters.

They are advising residents to take precautionary measures.

Meanwhile, the Nadele River in Nadi is also flooded.

The Nadi Weather Office says a Flash Flood Warning remians in force for flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of the Nakauvadra River in Rakiraki, Naseyani at Yaqara River, Nasivi and the Tavua Town bridge.

A Flood Alert also remains in force for the floodplains of the Ba River.

The Weather Office says a Heavy Rain Warning also remains in force for Fiji.

Communities near rivers, low-lying settlements, and flood-prone roads are advised to prepare for possible rapid water level increases. Travel may become hazardous, especially near Irish crossings and small bridges
