A Flood Warning is now in force for all low-lying, flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of the Nakauvadra River in Rakiraki Town, Naseani at Yaqara River, Nasivi River in Tavua, and Tavua at the Tavua Town Bridge.
A trough of low pressure with cloud and rain lies slow moving over the Fiji group.
It is gradually moving southwards and is expected to move through and clear the group later on Saturday.
Parts of Rakiraki are flooded right now.
Rakiraki Town Council CEO Peni Duaniwai says entry into the town and Naqoro Flat, and FSC Road are closed.
He says they are monitoring the situation as the town remains closed.
Duaniwai says police are contolling movement of vehile in the town and they consider the safety of the public.
