A flash flood warning remains in force for the entire country, while a flood warning is also in place for all low-lying, flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of the Nakauvadra River in Rakiraki, the Yaqara River at Naseyani, and the Ba and Tavua Rivers.
The Nadi Weather Office says Tropical Depression TD03F was located about 640 kilometres west-northwest of Yasawa-i-Rara, or approximately 825 kilometres west of Labasa, at 9am today.
They say Tropical Depression TD03F is moving east-southeast toward the northern parts of Fiji, with associated rain and strong winds expected to affect the country until later Thursday.
TD03F is travelling at about 10 kilometres per hour and currently has a very low chance of developing into a Tropical Cyclone.
The Weather Office warns the system may lead to several impacts, including, poor visibility for drivers due to heavy rain, flash flooding to major flooding in low-lying communities and Irish crossings, traffic disruption and flooding on major roads, possible damage to homes built from old light corrugated iron or timber, particularly in exposed areas, and disruption to essential services and power supply.
