A flash flood alert and a heavy rain alert remains in force for the whole of Fiji, and the Tropical Disturbance located near the Solomon Islands is moving closer to the group.

The trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain also continues to affect the Fiji group.
Hazard flash flooding can be caused by heavy rain and this is based on rainfall forecast models, and weather radars.
Expect flooding of drainage systems, small streams, low water bridges, Irish crossings, roads and properties in low lying areas.
People are advised to take all necessary precautions as heavy rain is expected to continue throughout the weekend due to a trough of low pressure associated with Tropical Disturbance TD03F.
The Fiji Meteorological Service says the system currently has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone today, with the risk increasing to moderate by tomorrow.
They say there is a moderate to high chance that this system could develop into a tropical cyclone by Sunday, with the centre to be located near Vanuatu.
By tomorrow, the centre of the system is expected to be located North of Vanuatu, and by Sunday, East of Vanuatu.
Although the centre of the system is expected to be located outside the Fiji Group, strong winds, heavy rain and flooding is expected.
For now, the effects of the cyclone can be felt by about early Monday.
Please remain vigilant and stay updated with the latest weather forecasts.
