Good news for 62 local charities, as the fiji water foundation has directed more than $301,000 to them through its 2025 wonderful giving program, marking one of its most impactful years of employee-led philanthropy to date.
Wonderful giving is a unique program that enables employees to support charitable organisations that hold personal significance for them, ensuring each contribution is made with intention and genuine care.
In a statement, fiji water says the wide range of selected charities reflects the diverse interests and values of its staff, spanning areas such as health, education, disability support, youth development, animal welfare, environmental protection, and community wellbeing.
The company says the foundation achieved 100 percent staff participation this year, as employees from fiji water and neptune pacific—subsidiaries of the wonderful company—responded with remarkable commitment, resulting in the significant donation.
Fiji water foundation coordinator eapi nabou says the wonderful giving program is about more than donations; it is about the care and thought employees put into supporting causes close to their hearts.
Nabou says employee ambassadors played an important role in driving awareness and encouraging participation across the business, helping the foundation achieve its goal of full participation.
He says it is inspiring to see staff respond so positively to the initiative and make a meaningful difference in their communities.
Recipients of the program also expressed their gratitude for the support received.
Reverend jone saraqia of veilomani boys’ home says the wonderful giving program has made a real impact on the boys at veilomani, helping to provide resources and opportunities that enhance their wellbeing and daily lives.
Reverend saraqia says the support is a reminder that communities care and are ready to stand alongside them.
Following the completion of the 2025 program, the fiji water foundation acknowledged the remarkable commitment of its employees and the positive outcomes their contributions have delivered to communities across fiji.
The wonderful giving program remains a valued tradition, highlighting the power of collective action and the importance of supporting communities in practical and meaningful ways.
