The Fiji National Under-19 football team has been confirmed ahead of its international fixture against the Australian Joeys (U-19), a significant fixture in the country’s youth football calendar.

The squad will assemble for its final training camp today at the Fiji Football Association Academy in Suva, where preparations will intensify ahead of the match.

Fiji will face the Australian Joeys next Saturday, at Churchill Park in Lautoka, with the encounter expected to provide a strong measure of the team’s progress at the international youth level.

Head Coach Dhirend Chand described the match as a crucial evaluation point for the young players.

He says the players have gone through a phase of individual preparation, and this match will help them assess how effectively they translate that work into a competitive setting.

He says they want to see how players respond tactically, physically, and mentally at this level, adding that their emphasis is on discipline, teamwork, and building collective confidence.

The match against the Australian Joeys is expected to be a valuable learning experience as Fiji continues to develop its next generation of footballers.

The final Fiji Under-19 squad includes Usaia Tamaniqio, Lagilagi Takaiyawa, Arush Lal, Ratu Timoci, Shanal Kumar, Ibraham Dean, Sefanaia Virimaitonga, Waisea Naicovu, Apenisa Dulukobau, Tukai Ravanokula, Jovesa Uqe, Avishaan Chand, Arav Nadan, Shofwan Ali, Jayden Shankar, Arav Goundar, Sialesi Vatanitawake, Rishal Shankar, Valeni Rasorewa, Isoa Latui, Krishna Sami Jnr, and Meli Vuilabasa.
