A tragic road accident claimed the lives of a 56-year-old woman and her 8-month-old granddaughter following a accident along Labasa-Seaqaqa Highway around 2am yesterday.
The brother of the deceased women, Jakir Hussain informed fijivillage News that they were returning from Bua to their home when the incident occurred.
Hussain says three other people were also injured, including the driver, who is an Australian citizen.
Police confirms that investigation into the incident is underway.
