Basketball Fiji is appealing for last-minute sponsors to support the national Under-17 boys’ and girls’ teams as they prepare for the FIBA U17 Oceania Cup in Samoa next week.

Interim Chief of Operations William Peters says the organisation has been seeking sponsorship for 12 boys and 12 girls to assist with their preparations, medical supplies and other essential costs.

Peters confirms they are close to reaching their goal, with only four girls and one boy still needing sponsors.

He says Basketball Fiji is grateful to those who have already donated through M-PAiSA and Internet banking transfers but adds that more support is urgently needed with the tournament beginning on Monday.

Those wishing to contribute can donate via M-PAiSA to 9308436, call 9339306, or email h4h@fiji.basketball.net

The FIBA U17 Oceania Cup will be held in Samoa this Monday to Saturday.
