A full and transparent investigation has been called for by the Fiji Motorcyclists Association following a recent incident involving a motorcyclist and a bus.

In a statement, the Fiji Motorcyclists Association says its thoughts and prayers are with the rider and their family during this difficult time.

The Association says motorcyclists are among the most vulnerable road users, and incidents like this highlight the need for greater awareness and care towards riders on Fiji’s roads.

They say drivers of large vehicles must always exercise extra caution when sharing the road with motorcycles.

The Association is also calling on public service vehicle drivers to uphold the highest safety standards and road discipline.

Fiji Motorcyclists Association urge that road safety is everyone’s responsibility and all drivers must remain alert, respect motorcyclists, and share the road safely.

Meanwhile, police investigation into the accident continues.
