Eroni Daunibau puts children’s education first priority

Eroni Daunibau says one of his key responsibilities as a father is ensuring that his three children’s school needs are prepared before the school year begins.

He says the advice he always gives them is that education continues throughout life, even into old age.

Daunibau won a $250 cash prize for correctly guessing last year’s VITIFM Number One Song of the Year, 'Kavoro', performed by Paradise Roots and the late George “Fiji” Veikoso.

He says when he found out he had won, he shared the news with his children and told them that whoever woke up first the next morning would get to decide how the prize money would be spent.

Daunibau says his eldest child, Adi Viniana Daunibau, was the first to wake up, so he will now buy her what she wants, with the remaining money going toward school supplies for the other children.
