Ranveer Singh’s espionage thriller Dhurandhar has become the highest-grossing Indian film in North America, surpassing the nine-year-old record held by SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2.

The Aditya Dhar-directed film has earned $21 million in the US and Canada, overtaking Baahubali 2’s $20.7 million haul from 2017.

Overall, Dhurandhar has collected $32 million overseas despite restricted releases in the Middle East.

In India, the film has crossed more than $202 million in net collections.

It has also emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film in Australia and currently ranks 13th on the all-time overseas earnings list.

Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh as undercover agent Hamza Ali Mazari, alongside R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.
